What is the Arc Line (the 6th Body)?

In the tradition of Kundalini yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, the human has 10 bodies, not just one. Yogi Bhajan taught that the 6th body is the Arc Line, which is a halo that stretches around your forehead earlobe to earlobe. Women have an extra arc line that runs from nipple to nipple and assists in the bonding with an infant. If your aura is the vehicle of light in which you drive, the arc line is the steering wheel. It provides guidance to the aura (essentially communicating the “state of the union” of your body and mind). It also guides you by creating a field of protection that when rattled should (if you are clear and listening) alert you. As much as it gives internal guidance, it also projects external information. That is to say, that if your thoughts and feelings create your reality by offering a vibration to the Universe, then your arc line is the transmitter that sends out the signal. How strong or how weak your arc line is directly corresponds to the strength and integrity of the signal. Both intuitive information that you are receiving (protection) and the power of the information you are sending out (projection) are influenced by the arc line.
In “Waves of Healing”, Dr. Siri Atma S. Khalsa explains that it is possible to see the Arc Line by using certain Kundalini yoga meditations. (In fact, it is possible using other types of focus as well, as ancient mystics did to perceive a halo around saints and sages, which you see often depicted in western art.) The arc line may appear silver-white, bluish-white, white, gray, pink or green. Dr. Khalsa goes on to call the arc line a “thermometer” which takes a measurement of your total energy. According to Yogi Bhajanit can be up to an inch and a half thick to as small as a quarter of an inch.
The strength of an arc line is affected by integrity. You have to keep your word and live up to the message you project to others. You can’t be all talk and have a strong arc line. Arc lines act as a mini-recorder, picking up vibrations and absorbing them. The additional arc line on a woman (the one from nipple to nipple) is extremely sensitive in particular. It is that arc line which many Kundalini yoginis protect by wearing a chuni draped over their shoulders.
People more in June or those born on the 6th, 15th, or 24th of the month should be especially mindful of their arc lines.

Ways to strengthen the Arc Line:
Meditations:
Specific meditations such as Kirtan Kriya and So Darshan Chakra Kriya help strengthen the Arc Line.
Mantra:
The mantras “Ang Sang Waheguru” and “Waheguru Wahejio” can help strengthen the 6th body. Each mantra helps our consciousness to unify with our higher selves. The 6th body is the point of unification between the higher and lower bodies, acting as a point of integration between the spiritual and the material. These mantras bring Divine consciousness into our present awareness, which strengthens the arc line. The mantra “Ardas Bhaee” is also said to strengthen the 6th body.
Truth:
Speak only truth. Do what you say you will do and practice what you preach. This strengthens the arc line.
Wear a Chuni:
If you are woman, try wearing a chuni when you meditate (or even try it in your daily life). It protects the delicate arc line on the breasts from absorbing unnecessary negativity.
Connect with Guru Hargobind:
Guru Hargobind was the 6th Guru of the Sikhs. Known for balancing spiritual and temporal authority, he was also the savior of many unjustly imprisoned princes during an age of oppression.
